Karabakh TV wants justice

The conflict that started year 1988 between two Caucasian countries, namely, Armenia and Azerbaijan has been going on to date. The UN, OSCE Minsk Group and other international organizations have recognized the fact that Azerbaijan has lost a fifth of its land - Nagorno Karabakh and its nearby regions. Ever since the conflict started, the warfare between the countries has also been on the virtual world, a cyberwarfare. A warfare that Azerbaijan is, sadly, losing at. The world media, especially You, have been partial when gathering information on the war. You are more leaned towards the Armenian media. We, as a group of people working in political science and media fields, have created an online, internet-based TV channel and analytics website called Karabakh TV. We, as a team ask of you to hear our voice as an alternate source. Isn’t it unfair to have such a partial, one-sided viewpoint during a conflict? A huge and important media organization such as Yourselves should listen to both sides of the story when researching. Our goal is to spread information on what negative impacts of economical, cultural, ecological and social nature Nagorno-Karabakh conflict has had on the Republic of Azerbaijan, and at the same time, provide our readers with analytical essays and videos. The reason that a web portal, such as Karabakh TV, providing information in languages including but not limited to Azerbaijani, English, Russian and Arabic is so vital is because there are no projects of similar nature. And undeniably, as a result of this, Azerbaijan is losing this war of information, and this is also partly because huge media organizations such as Yourselves aren’t hearing our voices. Our goal isn’t just to gather information from Azerbaijani and foreign sources, but also try to reach out to Armenian experts who have realized the chaos this conflict has been putting Karabakh through. Additionally, a photo archive portraying the horrors of the conflict is intended to be placed on the website. We, Karabakh TV, don’t need a false representation or any sort of propaganda. We simply want to be heard by You. We want You to watch our channel and use us a source as well. I would like to call attention to the fact that we are all participants in this information warfare, regardless of whether we want it or not; There are those who are victims, those who are warriors and those who think of themselves as mere bystanders but are in reality victims themselves. You choose which of these we are. Please, be fair and if nothing else, report the fact that we have reached out to you. Finally, I would like to finish off by reminding the words of the former American president Ronald Reagan - “America must be just, for it can not be big if It is not just”. And you be fair too, and hear our voices.
